One of the three outdoor sculptures displayed 21 June to 21 September 2003 in a summer exhibition of sculpture in the sculpture garden surrounding a small Chateau in Normandy....

This is a temporary garden sculpture entitled "Confidences" - a tribute to my sister Maguite. I actually used two busts recently commissioned by a couple in Bristol of their daughters, and my teenage daughters bodies patiently covered in jute scrim loaded with reinforcedplaster. The inspiration? An old metal bed I found in a farm dump in Sussex and those special moments shared with my sister, who is also my friend and confidante. Jean-Marc de Pas, the Chateau's owner, cleverly designed several "chambres vegetales" (garden rooms), and I used one of them for this sculpture as it was an ideal setting within the gardens.

In the same exhibition, there's also "Dreamcatcher Tribe", and an installation of masks in a lovely tree by a pond entitled "Spirits of the Tree".
